Cheap Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and do not need a stroller which can also be used as car seat carrier. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation for being the ultimate stroller that is light, ideal for city dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to 'perfectly navigate all terrains and types'.

The YOYO2 frame base, curved fabric bassinet and six-month color pack combine to create a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eyes and has a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for instance is able to snap onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It is also machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon by simply flipping the handle, which means parents can pick the mode they prefer for their journey.  pushchairsandprams.uk  can accommodate two or three children ranging from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a huge storage basket that can hold everything you need when you are on the move.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as other wagons, so it may not be suitable for long excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly after folding. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger canopy sizes.

It took us just under three minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It is missing some features that we consider essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate during our walk on the stony path. It handled the situation well, although it seemed to be a bit more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. However, they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers that we tested but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other pram hoods that get turned back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

The wheels are durable and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets with ease.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transportation down the stairs or in the boot of the car. It also comes travel system ready with the option to include a car seat or carrycot with the adaptors included. The brakes are easy to use with single action colored and flip-flop-friendly.

The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that's suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro, and can awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can face one another or be turned around to face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling disputes over who gets to sit with dad and mom. The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most bassinets and car seats for infants however, you can use them from the first day with adapters that fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby.
